SALINE LIGHTENING
What is saline lightening?
Saline lightening (also known as tattoo lightening, tattoo removal & saline removal) is an efficient alternative and natural treatment to tattoo lightening and removal. It is safe and less painful than laser therapy. A solution is implanted into your skin with the same principle of tattooing. This saline solution will then draw fluid, including your pigment, to the surface of the skin in the form on a scab during the healing process of your wound.
How long does saline lightening take to heal?
The initial scanning period lasts up to a week. Otherwise, the skin needs 4-6 weeks to regenerate and fully heal.
How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions required to achieve results depends on many factors:
-
The type of pigment implanted
-
How recently your tattoo was done
-
How well the skin heals
-
How aftercare is respected
-
How much pigment needs to be removed
How often can I repeat saline lightening?
Treatments may be repeated every 4-12 weeks.
Does saline lightening hurt?
A topical anaesthetic is applied and left on for 20-30 minutes prior to your treatment to ensure your comfort. Since we are using a saline solution, it is possible that you feel a bit of a sting.
