LIGHTENING
Please follow aftercare instructions, as failure to do so may result in poor treatment results.
SALINE LIGHTENING MAY TAKE 4-6 WEEKS TO HEAL.
The area may stay pink for this period of time.
AFTER 6-12 WEEKS, additional sessions may be performed if necessary.
ONLY touch treated area with clean hands.
Keep area open and dry for the initial 48h. Avoid wetting area. When showering, keep area away from water as much as possible.
If in high-risk facilities such as schools and gyms, you may cover the wound to avoid infection.
DO NOT scrub, rub, pick, peel, or scratch treated area. It is imperative that a scab forms and falls off naturally to aid in the process of lifting the ink.
Once scab has formed (usually 5-7 days), apply Vitamin E oil or gentle moisturizer to the area 3x a day for a minimum of 4 weeks.
DO NOT swim, or get into a hot tub, tanning bed or have area exposed to direct sunlight during the initial scabbing healing period.
Monitor for signs of infection such as continued redness 3-4 days post procedure, excessive swelling, pus drainage, increased tenderness with warmth at affected area or a general non-healing appearance after 2-3 days. Report these or any questions or concerns about similar signs and symptoms to your artist.
In the event the site was to become infected the post care instructions as given above will not apply.
Lightening and/or removing unwanted pigment is a process that requires patience and multiple sessions. The number of sessions needed will depend on how saturated the pigment is, how deep it was implanted and how much needs to be removed for the desired result. Results cannot be anticipated, predicted or guaranteed.
