What to Expect After Your Appointment:
Things will feel a little spicy after each visit you have with me and that's okay! It's completely normal. Please read below to find out more about what to expect after your appointment.
Restorative ink/ Inkless Camouflage
Tattoo
Day 1: You will feel swollen, tender and a warm sensation to the area. It is perfectly normal to expect pin-point bleeding with clear lymph fluid to reside in the skin for the first 48-36 hours. This will oxidize, making the wound appear darker and more red in the week to come. For areola tattoos, clients are to expect looking like any sort of meat on a charcuterie platter for the first 7-10 days. Inkless procedures will also appear "worse before better", just trust the process. Skin should begin to slough in the following 10-14 days. This can look like any varying degree such as small dandruff like flaking to more like after-sun burn shedding. This variance is dependent on multiple factors such as area, density of skin, type of canvas such as burn, scar/ surgical incision, or stretchmark. Once the exfoliation process has began you will notice the area(s) turn from red/ brown to pink/violet to a more even tone. Hydration and avoiding unnecessary friction from clothing, shaving/waxing, massage, active ingrediant products, etc., is important for 3-4 weeks. I would advise that more melaninated skin wait a full 6 weeks to avoid post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The most notable thing about this procedure is that every result is unique to the individual. You are not them! You are you. That is what makes you special!
Microneedling/
Inkless Camouflage
You will arrive to your microneedling appointment with a freshly cleaned face, no makeup or product. Your face will be cleansed once more prior to receiving an application of numbing cream. You will expect to feel a slight prickly sensation during the microneedling. At most, the discomfort will be mild. After completion of the service you will feel similar to a sunburn sensation with warmth and tightness of the skin. Some the warmth will carry over to the next day but the most notable sensation will be how tight the skin feels. Light to mid swelling can occur around the eyes, especially if this is the focal point of the procedure. While the tenderness subsides you will start to lightly exfoliate to reveal new regentrified cells. It is crucial to avoid any unnecessary friction, sun exposure and scented products for the remaining 2 weeks. Do not sweat or work out for 5 days. After you are 10 days healed you may resume your regular skin care routine including active ingredients unless instructed otherwise. You must apply sun protectant religiously during the high exposure seasons to avoid sun damage or compromise results.
Scar Therapy
NOTE:
Avoid waxing, shaving, chemical peel and laser therapy for 4-6 weeks prior to your appointment and 6 weeks after.
You will arrive to your appointment with a freshly cleaned skin. You will expect to feel a slight warm prickly sensation during the treatment. At most, the discomfort will be mild. This therapy will involve active enzymes, massage and sound therapy in conjunction with active acids and microneedling. After completion of the service you will feel similar to a sunburn sensation with warmth and tightness of the skin. Some the warmth will carry over to the next day but the most notable sensation will be how tight the skin feels. Light to mid swelling can occur with areas closely aligned to your arteries and core section. While the tenderness subsides you will start to lightly exfoliate to reveal new regentrified cells. It is crucial to avoid any unnecessary friction, sun exposure and scented products for the remaining 2 weeks. Do not sweat or work out for 5 days. After you are 10 days healed you may resume your regular skin care routine including active ingredients unless instructed otherwise. You must apply sun protectant religiously during the high exposure seasons to avoid sun damage or compromise results. Changes are relying on the power of momentum from a continual snowball effect by piggy-backing off each session, every 4-8 weeks. Remember, this is a multi-step process. Trust this process.
